New Provider from 1st April 2020
We are very excited to announce that Culverhay Surgery will be taking over the provision of primary care services in Berkeley next year. They will be working closely with the Marybook team over the coming months.
They will be recruiting extra staff, including Doctors and Nurses and will aim to start integrating them into the team at Marybrook from the New Year, before taking full responsibility in April 1st 2020.
Culverhay Surgery is committed to keeping the service in Berkeley at the same site and are in current discussions regarding the premises.
Church Street Group will continue to run the service up until that time.
It is with great sadness to announce that Mrs Clare Barnfield, Practice Manager, will be leaving Marybrook at the end of December. She has enjoyed working with the Staff & Patients since April and would like to thank everyone for making her feel so welcome.
New Social Prescriber joins the Team. Julia Horsfall is running clinics once a week. If you are feeling isolated at home or would like help to access extra support, please contact reception on 01453 810228.
Social prescribing involves helping patients to improve their health, wellbeing and social welfare by connecting them to community services which might be run by the council or a local charity. For example, signposting people who have been diagnosed with dementia to local dementia support groups.
